We will go down to the waters edge and organize ourselves then set off down river. Exploring the side rivers on our way. We will arrive at our lodge for a late lunch and in time to see the sun set after relaxing or fishing in front of the lodge.
Evening meal will be at the lodge before you settle down for the night ready for the following days activity.
Please note that the above is a preliminary itinerary and may vary due to factors such as weather conditions, access to river portage points and seasonal changes and local activities. During periods of extreme bad weather, for comfort and safety canoeing or caving may be cancelled.
- Day 2 Hike up canyon
After Breakfast we will set off down river to explore another side shoot and cascading waterfall until we reach the hydro plant. We will pull up ashore on a gravel bank and then set off to hike up the steps and along the path till we come to the top where we can take in the incredible views of the river we have been exploring. We shall continue till we reach our destination which is a waterfall in a secluded spot. We will stop here and take a dip or relax for a while before heading off back down to our canoes.
We will be met by a boat which will take us back upstream to our lodge where we will catch a late lunch and finish off packing our equipment. Once we have finished we will climb aboard the boats and be taken to the transport where we will then head off back to Medellin.
