Come join us as we explore the great lakes of Colombia. We offer trips that include visiting a minimum of three lakes within a week. These trips are ideal for the true wildlife explorer as you can cruise by and see all varieties of birds and fauna. For the fishermen among you what better way to get out there and go catch the many species each lake has to offer.
We will have a large variety of lakes to choose from and can also upon request have a selection that you may particularly wish to visit. Each lake will have its own eco system and wildlife for you to explore,

The Great Lakes of Colombia offer so many options and what better way to go see them than with us.
We offer multi Lake trips where each lake has something different to offer from its fauna to its fish.
On these tours we shall explore different parts of Colombia as we travel to see these lakes which can vary from the famous Guatape to the grand Calime.

Accommodation in local hotels along the route. Simple double or twin rooms with basic amenities. Drinking water will be advised in each location but is always safe to consume bottled water.
The standard of accommodation along the route are simple in some locations (no hot water) but cosy and comfortable. Breakfast and lunch meal will be provided.
Sleeping accommodation on all nights during the tour is shared. Hotels along the route will typically have one or two person rooms. Private rooms can be arranged at an extra cost.
All meals from lunch on day of arrival to breakfast on departure day (breakfast, lunch, + coffee/snacks, etc). Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.
Equipment and Clothing
- All necessary equipment during the tour including safety equipment and dry bag. Each participant is responsible for their own equipment issued to them.
- Bag for personal items and clothing.
- Basic fishing equipment (for the fishermen among the group)
(additional items may be available on request – please ask if there is a particular item of clothing or equipment you require. Extra fishing equipment can be purchased from us upon request)
- Instruction in safety and boat handling.
- Services of local guide.
Return transfer to Medellin or Bogota (or from accommodation locally) and the hotels in connection with your tour.
Travel: We do not arrange flights or domestic travel, but are happy to advise on suitable connections and assist you with any aspect of planning your journey.

You should have a general good level of fitness and enjoy the outdoors. You should also be comfortable living in close proximity with others. Minimum age 12 (under 12 will be a third person in canoe) No previous canoe paddling experience is required but is desired. Canoeing can be physically demanding. You must be able to swim a minimum distance of 10 meters and be able to assist in carrying your boat and equipment. Tasks around the portage points can also be physically demanding.
Yellow Fever vaccination is required. To visit nature parks or wilderness areas other vaccines, such as tetanus and hepatitis A and B are also recommended.
A detailed recommended packing list for personal items to bring will be sent with your booking documentation. NB: We advise you not to buy equipment or clothes for your trip or to incur other non-refundable expenses such as flights until you have received confirmation of your booking from us in writing. Note of course that the most appropriate clothing to use as well as the level of challenge experienced during any outdoor activity may vary significantly depending on factors such as the time of year and the particular weather/temperature conditions during your trip.

Remember all personal equipment needs to fit into your dry bag.
A minimum of 4 persons is required for scheduled paddle tours to run. You are of course welcome to book as a solo traveler.

Fly to Bogota then onward to Medellin by domestic flight connection. Transfer from Medellin airport or Bogota Airport is included. (Depending on our chosen departure point in your confirmation instructions) Flight times between cities is 30 mins
There are regular bus trips between cities however it is advised to fly. Approx time between Medellin & Bogota is 8 hours

This experience is also available as a private experience for groups. For private tours, larger groups can be accommodated. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
Fishing in these lakes can be rewarding and yet a challenge. Depending on what lake we visit will depend on the tackle you require and of course the type of fish you can catch. Most lakes in Colombia hold similar species but catching them can be interesting!
With the exception of Christmas and New Year tours, the majority of tour dates run Monday-Sunday
Groups of minimum 4 can also book private tours on other dates at standard prices. Max. group size for standard tours is 12 persons.
